About the Artwork: What a title, am I right? Each and every one of us has a daily battle with the war within ourselves. Whether it be refraining from making bad decisions, choosing to stay on a diet or simply deciding what to cook for dinner. I didn’t have a specific plan when I started painting this piece. It started with a war within myself in choosing the colors to start. Ironically enough, none of these colors were my original decision, but I loved everything it turned out to be. Somehow the war within created something so raw and beautiful to me.
