About the Artwork: This was a playful experiment of oil paint over an oil stain under painting. Oil paints were thinned with Gamsol and randomly applied onto a canvas board. It was quite wet, and as I turned my canvas in different directions, it created interesting drips and spills, especially as the oil stain began to evaporate and dry. As I as I continued to look at the dried under painting and turn it in different directions, I began to see a drippy wet garden . . . and so the painting continued . . .
